Along with the new Village came a selection of tasty restaurants and eateries to add to Squaw Valley's resident staples. Squaw Valley now boasts an array of fine dinning and casual restaurants to satisfy the tastes and desires of the most discerning connoisseurs. Stroll through Squaw Valley's base village or ride the Cable Car to High Camp el. 8200' to find over 56 distinct restaurants, eateries and bars. Here are just a few suggestions for dinning, refueling, and refreshing throughout your Squaw Valley vacation.
Breakfast
Fueling up is easy when you have dozens of restaurants, cafes and delis to choose from. Start the day with a bagel and cup of Peet's coffee from the Wildflour Bakery. The breakfast burrito at the Taco Express is a secret treat for the skier on the go. Other grab and go treats can be found just steps from the lifts at Dave's Deli, Eurosnack or Mountain Nectar. The newest addition to our breakfast options is the Blue Onion Cafe which offers anything from classic eggs benedict to savory breakfast crepes. Hands down, the best breakfast buffet in town is found at the upscale PlumpJack's Squaw Valley Inn.
Lunch
Lunchtime offers an assortment of delicious options. Indulge on a scrumptious burger at the Blue Coyote Sports Grill or the mountainop Poolside Cafe at High Camp or the outdoor BBQ at Gold Coast. Guests can find pizza, pasta and oven-baked sandwiches at Le Chamois, wraps and smoothies at Mountain Nectar, Chinese chicken salad at the Sundeck Cafe and foccacia bread sandwiches or fruit and cheese platters at the Crossroads Cafe. Six Peaks at the Resort at Squaw Creek serves soups and steaks, and Mamasake's creative maki and sakana make it easy to 'eat raw at Squaw'.
Dinner
In the evening, dine overlooking Lake Tahoe during a Twilight Dinner at Alexander's Bar & Grill at High Camp or enjoy classic brasserie fare and an urban ambiance at the Balboa Cafe in the base Village. The PlumpJack Cafe dishes up award-winning cuisine or for a casual family meal drop in to the popular Fireside Pizza for pizza, pasta and salads. Graham's offers a versatile California cuisine accompanied by a wine list that is 800 wines strong. The Auld Dubliner serves authentic Irish pot pies and stews, while Mamsake rolls out the red carpet for sushi lovers. Serving food until midnight, Zenbu Tapas Lounge's organic Mediterranean-Asian dishes make for a unique dining experience complete with a DJ spinning in the background.
A Hot Toddy or Something in Between
There's nothing finer than a relaxing beverage after a day on the mountain and there is no shortage of bars for friends or hot coco for the kids. Warm the belly with a little hot Sake or quench your thirst with a draft beer at Le Chamois's Loft Bar. If beer is near and dear to your heart, try one of Gordon Biersch's signature specialty brews at the Sundeck Tavern. Wine lovers find an extensive selection of hard to find California vintages as well as many collectable greats from Europe at PlumpJack's Bar. The intimate Alexander's Bar at High Camp pours a number of cold weather cure-alls with one of the best views of the setting sun overlooking Lake Tahoe. In the spring, gather around the Poolside Bar for a Blue Lagoon Margarita or other blended concoctions.
