Squaw Kids - Children's Ski School
Whether your child is new to the sport of skiing or snowboarding or a seasoned veteran, Squaw Kids is wonderful place for children to both learn and hone their skills. The Squaw Kids Children's Center is a unique 12,000 square foot facility that offers parents one stop shopping when it comes to their children's ski and snowboarding lessons. Extremely accessibly, parents can drive right up to the Squaw Kids Children's Center and get their child a lesson/lift ticket, rental skis, boots, snowboards, and even helmets. Conveniently located at the base of the mountain with its own dedicated rope tow, magic carpets, and ski hill, Squaw Kids offers a variety of activities and ski lessons for ages 3-12. First time skiers will learn right in Squaw Kids' backyard, making it easy for parents to watch their little ones in action. Squaw Kids' instructors are required to go through an intensive training program and many have taken on-snow and written tests to become certified by the Professional Ski Instructor Association (PSIA).
Squaw Kids offers half and full day lessons. Lunch is included in the full day lessons and all children get a mid-morning/afternoon hot chocolate and juice break. At the end of each lesson instructors assess each child's skills and chart their progress on a report card. The Squaw Kids report card is a certificate of achievement that highlights what a child accomplished in the lesson and what they need to work on next time.
